Are Custom Braces or Compression Socks covered by insurance?

The cost of medical grade custom braces and compression supports are fully or partially covered by most extended health insurance plans, provided you have a physician referral. Other agencies, such as the WSIB (Workplace Safety Insurance Board) and MVA (Motor Vehicle Accident) insurance, may also cover the cost. 

Off the shelf version of the braces are also available, and you can expect to receive help in measuring and fitting the brace that is right for you.
